K dramas are well and truly in their ✨D I L F✨ era

I watched Ghosts Season 3 Episode 2 earlier today!! Some quick thoughts :D

Poor Jay 😭😭💔 he really didn't deserve what he was going through this episode :(( but I'm glad Sass and him are actually gonna be dream friends, it's gonna be great :')). It'll be soo nice for him to actually be able to connect with them a little more :'D. Also it's wild to me to actually realize that he knows what Sass actually looks like now lol. Like I said, wild xD. Anyway, I'm glad everything worked out in the end :'))

SASS'S GHOST POWER IS SO COOL!!?!??! Bro casually hid the coolest ghost power ever for his entire afterlife xD no biggie. Lol, it was really cool to see though! And I'm glad he's hopefully no longer using it for evil lol (most of the time)

Sam was being wild for using Sass's ghost power against Jay xd. I'm glad it was a smaller thing though, and that she learned her lesson. Also Isaac just vibing and following her around all Wednesday was great xD

Speaking of poor Jay, poor Thor 😭. Man was being seduced from all sides and half of them just wanted to be sucked off xdd. It was hilarious though lol xD. And poor Trevor 😭. Man was also going through it. And LOL Alberta not even being phazed by them still being together xD. Barely shocked lol. I am surprised Trevor revealed it so easily though! Anyway, hopefully they're okay xdd. Hetty was on one this episode lol (as she often is though, like they all are, so yk xD). Anyway, I'm glad in the end they did just listen to Thor :'). Poor guy is going through it and I'm glad they're there for him <33.

Also, once again with the poor xD, poor Pete just trying his best to be morally upstanding this episode lol. My guy was doing his darndest, and if it wasn't admirable xd. Good job, Pete, lol, even amongst all the drama xD.

Loved this episode!! I thought it was great, and it was a really fun watch :D. Sasappis's ghost power is SO COOL and I hope we get to see it more in the future :D - for less selfish/manipulative reasons, obviously lol. I also think the way it was done was really cool! Also, it took me a while to realize that it worked because Jay wouldn't/didn't recognize Sasappis lol xD. I think before he said that but I'm not sure lol. Anyway, really enjoyed the episode!!

Kang Ok is so one track minded sometimes i don't get it bc personally if i asked my future boyfriend whether he was going to kill me and my romantic rival when he was finished with us and got a non-answer in the form of a laugh and then an order to clone said rival's phone i would be genuinely wondering if i was crazy enough to be dating him even with the possibility he might kill me. i'd take two seconds to sit on that before i said 'f*ck it' and moved full speed ahead but none of these scenarios entered his head that's wild to me

Can you recommend like a fun, silly, summery drama? I'm looking for similar vibes as Cheer Up or Age of Youth (female friendships are a plus). It's hard to find something without melodrama.

First off, I LOVE your user icon! (- ‿◦ )

And I definitely want to help you find something silly and easy to watch, especially as we enter the depths of winter! Some of these are a little less slice of life but still fun. Also I know you already watched/mentioned a couple of these but I'm adding them to the list for everyone else who might be game!

Light Hearted Fun K-dramas (little or no melo)

Soundtrack #1 (slice of life/romance) Best friends for almost 20 years, the two leads start having feelings for one another while working on a project. This drama only has a few episodes which is a shame because it's really cute! As a Park Hyung Sik Stan (sorry but Happiness broke me), he's great in this one and he hasn't lost all of his military weight yet which I LOVE :D

Fanletter Please! (slice of life/ romance) A sick child writes fan letters to her favorite star, an actress who for kdrama reasons is afraid of fan letters. This was a super sweet, short drama - I really liked it so much!

Into The Ring (workplace/romcom): The perfect slice-of-life rom com! Goo Se Ra has trouble holding down a job due to her passionate personality so after she loses her latest job working for the ML, she decides to run for a small government office position because it pays a salary. Literally she does it for the money which is just *chef’s kiss.* The show is about her dealing with local politics and it’s SO FUNNY and smart and the OTP is the best! 

King The Land (rom/com): A cold chaebol hotel owner meets his match (literally and figuratively) who is a top notch employee. There's a lot of push pull and the ML (MY BIAS!) Lee Junho's character falls hard and fast. It does have slow moments but if you literally want to watch a happy couple be happy (plus the skinship is chef's kiss and there is so much of it) you'll enjoy this one.

Melo Is My Nature (slice of life): This drama is by far my favorite slice-of-life drama of 2019. Found family, strong and complex characters, I laughed, I cried. Plus a gay character that’s an actual character, with the gay as a casual side note (classy k-drama!!) It was just a perfect show for me. There’s romance, but all of the stories are super interesting.

Top Management (slice of life) I know this show is mainly on Youtube Premium BUT I just got an email from Youtube basically saying “hey we know you never want to pay to watch our shows so we’re just going to let you ok?” so that’s something… Adorable mini drama about a girl who can see the future and becomes the rookie manager for a kpop band. Fun and easy.

Business Proposal (rom/com) Seriously this drama is almost the exact same plot as The Secret Life of My Secretary. It's really fun and cute (just like the latter) and if you like one, you'll like the other ;-)

True To Love / Bo Rah Deborah (rom/com) Bo Rah is a relationship expert publishing her book. She works with a man who is her total opposite making it a cute enemies to lovers. Yoo in Ah is literally so adorable I love watching her! (If I'm honest I can't remember a TON about this drama but I do remember it being an easy watch).

Her Private Life (romcom): Park Min Young really knows how to pick dramas. I loved this one about a museum curator who is secretly a fangirl obsessed with an idol. It’s fun and fluffy but does have a very mild childhood trauma thing with his mother but I mean, 99% of dramas like this do? If you like this one, Touch Your Heart and Why Secretary Kim are by the same person and have similar vibes.

Touch Your Heart (rom/com) A sweet, silly and very mild rom com about a serious boss and his hallyu star secretary. This show was an obvious response to the chemistry that Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na had in Goblin so it was nice to see them together again. Yoo In Na is such a fun person to watch!

Fight for My Way (slice of life/romcom): I love this drama! Always a fave for me, this drama is funny and heartwarming! The leading lady is a strong female which I LOVE, and Park Seo Joon plays her really cute down to earth best friend. It’s a childhood friends to lovers trope with a group of regular people (no rich heirs in this show!) and has a happy ending and a lot of cute flirting, cuddling and kissing. Argh I love these two!

Age of Youth 1 (slice of life): Age of Youth/ Hello My Twenties is one of the best k-dramas that centers around strong female friendships. A group of wildly different girls find themselves rooming together in an apartment. Lots of romance too, but the girl’s lives and friendships are the primary focus.

Shopping King Louie (romcom): Ridiculously fun and lighthearted romp following a spoiled and useless chaebol with amnesia who is being taken care of by a country bumpkin in the city. Very low stakes, super adorable couple, and as many tropes as you can fit in your bag, this one is one of my favorites to recommend.

Eulachacha Waikiki / Laughter In Waikiki (slice of life comedy, romance) I hope you’re ready for a crazy amount of unlikely situations and nutty hijinks because this show is probably one the most silly ones I’ve ever watched. It follows a group of friends who own a hostel so it’s a slice of life drama. At certain points I was like “this is TOO silly” but I’m glad I stuck with it cause it was so hilarious. Plus, the baby is a star!

Wok of Love (rom/com) Despite the fact that the show was shortened by two episodes because of sports, this drama is a funny and quirky show worth watching. Many people dropped it because it was SO crazy for the first couple of episodes (it has a talking horse people!), but it does settle into a really sweet and fun story about a chef, a gangster and a rich girl and her family. If you love food, this show is for YOU!

And finally, if you don't mind a bit of melo, I highly recommend Run On!

             You were hoping to see Hyungwon in the elevator, so you could have his reaction to your new appearance. However, as you saw him last night as well as this morning, you assumed he’d need to rest and be finished with work. Assumption correct, it was a different elevator attendant who didn’t seem moved by your appearance one way or the other.

             Down in the lobby you looked around for Kihyun. He had said to meet him at exactly that time. No matter where you looked, you didn’t see him.

             Hearing your name, you moved your attention to a smiling hotel manager.

             “You and Minhyuk certainly picked out an incredible dress. You look radiant this evening.”

             You couldn’t contain your smile. “Thank you, Changkyun. I’m supposed to meet Kihyun down here, but I don’t see him.”

             “When were you to meet?”

             “He said 7:30.”

             Changkyun looked down at his watch revealing it was ten minutes past that. He then looked around the lobby with you. “Perhaps traffic has him delayed. Why don’t you wait for him in the lounge? When he arrives, I’ll inform him of your whereabouts.”

             “Really?”

             “Of course.” He took your hand in his and kissed the back of it, then pushed you towards the direction of the lounge.

             Once again, everyone was staring at you, but it was not the same as being scantily clad. They looked at you with awe, as if you were a princess. Sitting at the bar, you asked for a soda and waited. Another ten minutes passed. He shouldn’t have been this late.

            Turning on your stool, you were shocked to see that Kihyun was in the lounge. However, he hadn’t spotted you. He looked right past, not even recognizing you. You got off the stool, smiling wide, and walked towards him.

            He noticed the movement and looked to you. His mouth fell agape when he realized it was you.

            “You’re late.”

            Kihyun liked being in control, it was easy to see with the power he held in his gaze. But at this moment, it was clear that he didn’t have a firm grasp of that control. “You’re stunning.” He swallowed and tried to collect himself.

            Your smile grew. “You’re forgiven.”

            He offered his arm and escorted you to the limo outside. You were nervous during the drive. You silently prayed to whatever god that was listening that the chopsticks would be easy to grip food with and that you wouldn’t embarrass yourself or Kihyun.

            “Stop fidgeting.” Kihyun was watching you.

            “I’m just a little nervous. The fanciest restaurant I’ve ever been to is Olive Garden.”

            “You’ll be fine. I’ve already ordered our food ahead. You just need to sit there and enjoy the meal. Possibly partake in some small talk. Though,” he adjusted his tie. “I hope standing out on the curb waiting for clients has you prepared for the stares you may receive tonight. I can’t imagine it will be easy for anyone to take their eyes off you.”

            You blushed. You actually blushed. Looking away out the window to hide from his gaze, you whispered a small thanks and tried to prepare yourself for what was to come.

             When you arrived at the restaurant, the maitre d escorted you both to a private room where two other handsome gentlemen were waiting for you and Kihyun. There was a small shelf for your shoes, which Kihyun helped you remove. He took his own off as well. He then led you to the table, which was very low sitting. There were no chairs, but plump cushions to sit on.

             First, he introduced you to the gentlemen as his good friend. They softly smiled as they took in your appearance. He then introduced the men, and you shook their hands.

             “This is Hyunwoo Son and Jooheon Lee. They are the owners of Honey Bear Records.”

             Records. This must have been the company Kihyun was planning to make a billion with a “B” dollars from. He helped you to sit on the cushion.

             There was kindness in Hyunwoo’s eyes. Jooheon had it too, but he also held a kind of excitement.

             Several waiters brought out marble looking dishes, bowls, and trays with many slots filled with different foods. The large array of food covered the entire table.

             Your eyes were wide as you scanned all the different kinds of food. Where were you even supposed to start?

            Jooheon handed everyone chopsticks and spoons. To your horror they were metal. Hyunwoo filled small metal cups with a brown looking liquid, giving yours to you first.

            The men were focused on a slotted tray in the middle.

             Kihyun handed everyone small dishes. He offered for Hyunwoo to dive into the food first. Then he went, then Jooheon. You weren’t sure what to do.

            “These are the 9 Korean delicacies,” he said to you.

             “Oh,” you smiled at him and to the others at the table.

             Watching Kihyun, he grabbed a small thin pancake from the center of the tray. He then filled it with a few of the ingredients. With his chopsticks, he expertly folded the pancake and lifted it onto your plate. “Try it,” he smiled warmly.

             With determination, you fit the chopsticks in your hand. The texture of the pancake had enough give that you were able to pick it up and quickly stuff it in your mouth. It tasted like the healthiest food you’d ever eaten.

             You weren’t brave enough to make one of your own. Jooheon sweetly reached across the table and placed a folded pancake on your plate. You were becoming annoyed with how much you were blushing tonight. Glancing at Kihyun, you noticed a glint in his eye, but he said nothing, so neither did you.

             Hyunwoo cleared his throat, starting the business meeting. “So, is Starship Enterprises interested in investing with Honey Bear Records?”

             “Investing is one way to look at it.” Kihyun took a bite of food.

            Taking the company and making money from selling the musicians was another way.

             The men moved their attention to other foods on the table. A bowl of orange looking soup caught yours.

             Thankful that you could use your spoon, you dipped it in the soup. Surprise filled you as the soup was sweet. It was pumpkin.

             “How are things in Korea?” Jooheon asked. “It’s been a few years since I’ve been.”

             “With the way Kpop music has been gaining popularity, things are quite well.”

             “It’s cherry blossom season,” Hyunwoo commented. He turned his attention to you. “Have you gotten a chance to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom?”

             “I’ve not been to Korea.”

             “Oh you’d love it, especially with the cherry blossoms,” Jooheon gushed. “When the petals are all falling, it looks like it’s raining pink.” He winked and grinned at you.

             You looked over to Kihyun. You thought of how last night he’d been speaking another language on the phone. Not realizing it might have been his first language, you thought he was from the states. He certainly spoke English well enough, though he had a slight lisp. It was certainly interesting that he was from another country on top of everything else he had going for him.

             Kihyun started dishing clear looking noodles with vegetables and octopus legs into your little dish.

             The image of Changkyun training you with the fat noodles came to mind. These noodles were much different and harder to grab with the metal chopsticks. Instead, you opted for the tentacle. You’d finally grabbed it, proud of yourself. However, your grip wasn’t firm and the tentacle flew from your chopsticks and landed in front of Hyunwoo.

             All three men looked at you. Almost too shocked to speak, you managed to mumble a “slippery little sucker.” The men tried to politely conceal their laughter.

            So embarrassed, you excused yourself to the bathroom. Once you’d gotten the color out of your cheeks, you returned to the table. The men had gotten into a deeper conversation. Jooheon and Hyunwoo spoke proudly of their music company which they started from nothing to the company it now was. Their expressions showed the care and love they had for it and their artists.

            Feeling ready to try more food, you focused in on what looked like steamed wontons. To further your embarrassment, there was now a fork next to your dish. Refusing to admit defeat, you picked up the chopsticks. You noticed both Kihyun and Jooheon smiling at you.

            Hyunwoo put down his chopsticks. “Kihyun, you called this meeting. Why have you gathered us here tonight?”

            He too put down his chopsticks. “My interest in Honey Bear Records is to buy it.”

            Jooheon stopped eating. He and Hyunwoo both shared an expression of surprise. Mid chew, he spoke. “We’re not selling Honey Bear Records.”

            “I don’t think you have much of a choice. Of your artists, only SISTAR has been successful, and from what I understand they’re disbanding to pursue other interests. Your other artists haven’t brought in the profit you need to pay for the cost of video shoots, merchandise, and albums, not to mention rent and studio time. I have it on good authority that you’re quite in debt with the bank.”

            You also stopped eating after taking in Hyunwoo’s expression. His anger almost felt tangible. “How could you possibly know that?”

            That wave of arrogance you saw last night took over Kihyun. “You forget that I was once in the industry, as was my lawyer.”

            Jooheon scoffed. “How could we ever forget the great K.Will.”

            Hyunwoo interrupted him. “And what is it you plan on doing with the company once you buy it?”

            “Sell off the artists to whoever offers the best price.”

            “Like we would ever let that happen.” Jooheon jeered. “Besides, we’re planning on debuting a new group next month, which will certainly buy us time with the bank.”

            Kihyun’s smug expression remained. “Unless a scandal were to break out and ruin them before they even started.”

            Jooheon’s fist slammed on the table making you jump. You weren’t able to follow the rest of the conversation as he was yelling at Kihyun in what you assumed was Korean. Hyunwoo softly placed his hand on the other man’s arm. Jooheon deflated, though still looked as if smoke could come out his ears. He apologized to everyone then looked to you.

            “It was a great pleasure to meet you tonight, though you must excuse me. I need some air.” He bowed in your direction, then left the room.

            Your attention fell to Hyunwoo as he stood up. “I better join him. You like to play hard ball, Yoo. Well so do I.” He leaned close to Kihyun’s face. “I’m going to rip you apart.”

            To your amazement, Kihyun remained calm and looked proud. “I look forward to it.”

            Hyunwoo tried to look softer for you, but his anger was too strong. “Good luck, miss. Enjoy the rest of your meal. I’m sure it will be delicious.” He too left.

            Kihyun asked if you were still hungry. There were dozens of foods on the table which no one had even touched yet. But the new dark aura in the atmosphere made you want to leave as soon as possible, so you shook your head. He helped you with your shoes and escorted you back to the limo. He was silent the entire ride back.

             Back at the hotel, Kihyun walked out on the balcony. After removing your heels, you found his fuzzy slippers to wear, and joined him.

             He was tense, staring out at the blanket of lights.

            Remembering last night when he wasn’t ready for sex and just wanted to talk, you decided to follow the same action. “Well, the company sounds good.” You leaned on the balcony wall across from him. “They started from nothing and built it honestly. All of their artists are hard working with integrity. It’s something they love and are proud of and don’t want to give up.”

            He gave you a humorless glare. “Thanks for the recap. I’m the villain trying to take it away from them.”

            You pushed your lips into a flat line. “It sounds like you’re often the villain.”

            “I suppose to them I would be.”

            You pushed off the balcony. “I have an idea. How about we get some room service and watch old movies and just veg out in front of the TV.”

            “Veg out?”

            “Yeah. Lie still like vegetables. Lay like broccoli.”

            He shook his head and stood. “You do that. I’ll be back later.” He went back into the room, grabbing a keycard, but not his coat or wallet.

            “Where are you going?”

            “Just downstairs for a bit,” and he left the room.”

            Giving him space, you took off the dress and hung it, then removed all the makeup and hairpins. Not having other clothes, you kept the slip you wore under the dress on and put the big cushy robe back on. You’d decided on ordering a hamburger and fries from room service and played a movie.

            Two movies later and Kihyun wasn’t back yet. What did rich people do when they were upset? He left his coat and wallet, so he had to be in the hotel, right?

            Picking up the hotel phone, you called down to the front desk. When you asked if they’d seen him, they said he was down in the dining room.

            After tying the robe tight, you went out to the elevator. Hyungwon was back, which made you smile. You told him you were looking for Kihyun and when the elevator got to the lobby, he stepped out of the elevator and took hold of your elbow, leading you to where Kihyun was. He left you by the entrance then returned to the elevator.

            A few employees were stripping the tables. Some other guests were at tables drinking. Kihyun was at a piano, both playing and singing a song you’d never heard before. The playing was beautiful, but his voice. There was no doubt in your mind that angels wept upon hearing it. Goosebumps traveled up your arms as his pitch got higher. His voice didn’t even crack.

            Something he said at dinner crept to your mind. You forget that I was once in the industry. He was an artist. You wondered what could have made him choose to leave it behind with a talent like his, and choose to destroy companies now.

            His song finished and the others in the room clapped for him. Was this what he’d been doing the whole time?

            You stepped into the room towards the piano. He looked surprised when he saw you. Leaning against the piano, you smiled down at him. “I didn’t know you played.”

            He didn’t answer you, just looked upon you.

            “I got worried when you didn’t come back.”

            Kihyun looked around the room. “Gentlemen, could you leave us, please?”

            Without further prompting, the workers and guests both left, leaving only you and Kihyun in the room. They even closed the door behind them.

            “People always do what you tell them to do?”

            He grabbed your waist and pulled you in front of him, making piano keys sound as your ass brushed against them. He leaned his head forward into your stomach. You weren’t certain about what he wanted from you. Just as last night, this wasn’t typical Trick behavior.

            Chuckling once more, he bid you goodnight and disappeared into the bathroom.

            Sleep quickly took over once your head hit the pillow.

aunque lo toma desprevenido, damin no aparta su atención del cuaderno donde escribe ni mucho menos permite que alguna emoción indeseada se haga notar. responder es difícil y además siente que no le debe explicaciones a nadie como para esforzarse y poner sus sentimientos en palabras.

hay varios puntos que podrían ser mencionados, comenzando por alguna ridiculez como que es lindo y dulce, pero el menor del clan yoo jamás usaría adjetivos como tales en su vocabulario. podría comentar algo con respecto al talento de daon, refiriéndose a los dibujos o a sus actos en el circo (porque se ha colado entre el público para ver una o dos presentaciones sin que nadie lo vea), pero no quiere. son nimiedades, y aunque las tenga presentes, no son la razón por la que algo se remueve dentro suyo cuando está frente al archaos.

a pesar de haber comenzado con el pie izquierdo, daon sabe ver más allá de las inmensas paredes que damin mantiene a su alrededor para evitar que personas erróneas finjan que lo conocen. daon sabe verlo, leerlo. no lo considera un monstruo, y eso parece ser más que suficiente para una persona que ha crecido con la idea de ser el peor ser del universo. ¿lo es? sin duda, no tiene sentido negarlo, pero junto a daon puede pensar lo contrario al menos por un par de minutos.

Ok, when the k-drama I am Not A Robot first aired, I gave it a pretty brutal review saying that it objectified women and treated them like dogs (because literally it does do that for the first few episodes) and even if it's cute (I acknowledged that) it really didn't need to exist, you know...because it's a d*ck move against feminism.

So for some clown car reason I started a rewatch thinking it could be a fun hate watch and can I just say...

I LOVE I AM NOT A ROBOT. Like, something happened to my brain and I literally do not care about the robot-as-sexy-object-cringe-fest I LOVE THE R O M A N C E. SO. MUCH.

The leads are SO good. Being in love looks amazing on them...you HAVE to see the emotion in their eyes! Also there are so many cozy fluffy sweater looks on Yoo Seung Ho why can't he be in more rom coms?

Anyways, I'm behind on all of my airing dramas cause I'm rewatching I Am Not A Robot.
